Ho tok utdanninga si ved Volda lærarskule med eksamen i 1953 og ved Statens husstellærerhøgskole i 1957. <br /> Beinnes var lærar fleire plassar i Sogn og Fjordane som Hove skule i Selje og Skavøypoll skule i Vågsøy. I 1966 flytta ho til Heidal i Sel kommune og underviste på Heidal barne- og ungdomsskole.
