Fougner i 1839). Hun var søster av Lærerinde Anna Christina Christine Blixenkrone Fle Chrestene Jacobine Castberg Ambjørnsen (1854-1943), Anna Ambjørnsen (f.1854), Døvstummelærerinde Jacobine Marga Christine Menga Jakobine Ambjørnsen (f.1862), Hans Eduard Caspary Ambjørnsen (f.1863), Hulda Christine Ambjørnsen (f.1868), Jørgen Aarøe Ambjørnsen (f.1871) og Overrettssagfører Carl Aksel Ludvig Ambjørnsen Hagen Ambjörnsen (f.1878). Hun bodde sine første år i Josephinesgade 3 i Christiania og flyttet til Uranienborgveien 3 i samme by 1885.
