Den ble fredet i 1983.<br /> <br /> == Bakgrunn ==<br /> Huset ble bygd rundt 1860 som bolig for jernverkets ansatte. Antageligvis var det for funksjonærer, da værelsene er relativt store. Det var færre om å dele kjøkken enn det som var vanlig for arbeiderboliger, fastslo Riksantikvaren. En fargeprøve har vist at huset før har vært rødmalt mot tunet, mens sør- og vestfasaden hadde en beigerosa sandsteinsfarge.
