<p>Arkivportalen, råtekst</p> <p><b>Ny side</b></p><div>Hamar og Oplands Kjøbmandsforening ble startet av dagligvarekjøpmennene i de syv kommunene på Hedemarken. Konstituerende generalforsamling ble holdt 26.07.1908. Det var lite aktivitet i foreningen fra midt på 1970-tallet da dagligvaremarkedet mer og mer ble preget av de landsomfattende kjedene. Foreningen ble derfor vedtatt nedlagt i 1999. Fondsmidlene ble fordelt slik at Vernebygget på Domkirkeodden i Hamar og Skibladner fikk hver sin halvpart av pengene, ca. 200.000 kroner på hver. Advokatene Arild Thune-Ellefsen senior og junior, Hamar, var forretningsførere i foreningen fra midt på 1930-tallet. Arild Thune-Ellefsen overførte arkivet som gave til Statsarkivet i Hamar sommeren 2002.</div>
