<p>Gjøvik-historie</p> <p><b>Ny side</b></p><div>&#039;&#039;&#039;[[Harry Bakke]]&#039;&#039;&#039; (født 20. juni 1915 i [[Vardal]], død 20. desember 2004 i [[Sarpsborg]]) var språklektor.<br /> <br /> Han var sønn av mekaniker Ole Bakke og Anna f. Holter. Etter [[eksamen artium]] ved på [[Gjøvik høyere skole]] i 1935 tok han [[cand.philol.]]-graden i tysk ved universitetet i 1942. Bifag var norsk og engelsk, og pedagogisk eksamen tok han i 1943. I 1944 ble han gift med Gerd Holmboe, også hun fra [[Gjøvik]].<br /> <br /> Harry Bakke ble ansatt ved [[Sortland kommunale høyere almenskole]] i 1943, og ble skolens sekretær i 1946. Han var med på å stifte Rotary i vesterålsbyen, og satt som president i Sortland Rotary fra 1953 til 1954. Det året ble han lektor ved [[Sarpsborg høyere skole]].
