Stasjonen het &#039;&#039;Sæterstøen&#039;&#039; fram til 1921. Stasjonen lå på [[Seterstøa]], 67,17 kilometer fra [[Oslo Sentralstasjon|Oslo S]] og 135,4 [[Moh.|meter over havet]].<br /> <br /> Stasjonsbygningen ble bygget i [[sveitserstil]] og er som andre stasjonsbygninger langs Kongsvingerbanen, tegnet av arkitektene [[Heinrich Ernst Schirmer]] og [[Wilhelm von Hanno]]. På [[Sander stasjon]] finnes en bygning av samme type.<br /> <br /> I 1966 ble stasjonen fjernstyrt og året etter ble bemanningen nedlagt. Stasjonen ble lagt ned 9. desember 2012 i forbindelse med at det ble innført en ny grunnrutemodell for jernbanetrafikken på [[Østlandet]]. Stasjonsbygning og godsbygning ble vedtaksfredet av [[Riksantikvaren]] 22. april 1996.
