Men da [[Frogner (strøk)|Frogner]] ble en del av Kristiania som følge av [[Oslos byutvidelser|byutvidelsen i 1878]], flyttet Sverdrup til [[Aker herred|Aker]] for fortsatt å kunne representere Akershus på [[Stortinget]]. <br /> <br /> Etter Sverdrup ble løkka eid av enkefru [[Maren Cathrine Sars]] som bodde her med sin familie, sønnene [[Georg Ossian Sars|Georg]], [[Ernst Sars|Ernst]], og døtrene Johanne Augusta og [[Eva Nansen|Eva]] i årene mellom 1883 og 1894 da den ble kjøpt av [[Kristiania kommune]].<br /> <br /> Kommunen tok eiendommen i bruk til [[Frogner politistasjon]] året etter, etter å ha oppført en arrestbygning på eiendommen.
