<p>tekst fra AB-leksikon</p> <p><b>Ny side</b></p><div>Statens spesiallærerskole, opprettet 1961, hadde tilhold flere steder i Oslo før den i 1971 flyttet inn i nyoppført bygning i Granåsen 4 på Hosle i Bærum, samlokalisert med Statens lærerskole i handels- og kontorfag.<br /> <br /> Endret navn til Statens spesiallærerhøgskole og innførte hovedfagsstudium (3. avdeling) i spesialpedagogikk i 1976. Forskeropplæring og høgskolestipendiater fra 1981. Samme år opprettet skolen en filial i Sandane i Sogn og Fjordane. Hovedfag ble justert til 3. og 4. avdeling i 1985, og i 1986 fikk skolen rett til å tildele doktorgrad.<br /> <br /> Ble i 1990 knyttet til Universitetet i Oslo som en selvstendig enhet under navnet Institutt for spesialpedagogikk. I 1996 ble instituttet en del av Det utdanningsvitenskapelige fakultet sammen med Pedagogisk forskningsinstitutt og Institutt for lærerutdanning og skoleutvikling.<br /> <br /> {{AB-leksikon}}</div>
