<p>AB-import</p> <p><b>Ny side</b></p><div>&#039;&#039;&#039;[[Tyrvinglekene]]&#039;&#039;&#039; er Norges største [[friidrett]]sstevne. Arrangert av [[Idrettslaget Tyrving]] siden 1950; de første årene på [[Kadettangen]] i [[Sandvika (Bærum)|Sandvika]], siden 1962 på [[Nadderud stadion]]. Gjennom alle år har lekene først og fremst vært årets høydepunkt for unge norske friidrettsutøvere, men det har også vært deltakelse fra andre europeiske land og fra USA.<br /> <br /> Det første året deltok 540 utøvere, og tallet steg raskt til rundt 1800 deltakere fordelt på 2400 enkeltstarter – ingen liten jobb for de mange frivillige fra Tyrving som ordner innkvartering, bespisning og ikke minst avviklingen av selve stevnet. Inntil 1963 var det stevnekontor og overnatting på [[Valler gymnas]], senere på [[Høvik skole]]. Etter en periode med synkende deltakelse svingte pendelen for alvor tilbake fra midten av 2000-årene. I 2007 hadde Tyrvinglekene 1600 deltakere og nær 5000 individuelle starter. Det året samarbeidet lekene med [[Bislett Games]], og finalene gikk på [[Bislett stadion]].<br /> <br /> Tyrving-nestor [[Rolf Staver]] var stevneleder frem til sin død i 1975. Han ble avløst av [[Tor Solem]], som hadde oppgaven frem til 1990.<br /> <br /> Mange av landets beste friidrettsutøvere – for ikke å si idrettsutøvere – har deltatt i Tyrvinglekene&lt;!--, deriblant Bjørn Nilsen (mangeårig norgesrekordholder på 100 m), Lars Martin Kaupang, Steinar Hoen (stevnerekord i høyde gutter 19–22 år på 2,27 m), Hanne Haugland og Thomas Alsgaard--&gt;. [[Lars Martin Kaupang]], tidligere president i [[Friidrettsforbundet]], har uttalt om Tyrvinglekene: “Bare navnet Tyrvinglekene inngir en tradisjon og en opplevelsesrikdom som er blitt flere generasjoner av idrettsutøvere til del.
