My dear Mr. Hanson:
I was most thoroughly surprised, but pleasantly so,
when I saw your write up in Minneapolis Tidende about your trip to
Northfield.
Thank you for the kind words you have spoken on behalf
of our school, Dr. Boe, the Church, and Mrs. Waldeland and myself. We
had no idea that anything like that was coming and it was a real sur¬
prise though, as mentioned, a most pleasant one. We appreciate your
kindness most highly.
We are holding the excerpts I promised to send you,
because they are still coming. We received a new one today, and
Dr. Hoel of the Home Mission Board has not been able to get his
excerpt here as yet, nor has Treasurer Shurson. As soon as the set
is complete, I will see that it gets into your hands as quickly as
possible. Will also hand you at that time, pictures or mats of
church officere so that you can have your special edition illustrated
to the extent you desire.
