November 20, 1929.
Mr. Carl G. O. Hansen,
308 South 6h Street,
Dear Mr. Hansen:
Your letter of November 17th relative
to the parole of Mr. Conrad Christianson has been
received in this office during the absence of Senator
Shipstead.
As I know the Senator would be glad to
be of any possible assistance in this matter I have
made inquiries from the Department of Justice. I am
advised that the next meeting of the Parole Board at
McNeil Island will be held on January 22, 1930, and if
Mr. Christianson has filed his formal application for
parole his case will be considered at that time. As
you probably know the granting of paroles is entirely
under the jurisdiction of this Board and the Depart-
ment of Justice. It is as yet to early for any action
It is as yet too early for any action
to be taken in regard to Mr. Christianson's release.
However, I will call your letter to the Senator's
attention at the first opportunity and I am sure he
will be glad to get in touch with the Superintendent of
Prisons in Mr. Christianson's behalf nearer the date
of the meeting of the Board.
Very truly yours,
SM Lee [signatur]
Secretary.
