Dear Sir:
Many cities throughout the country are putting
on large municipal pageants which attract thousands of
people annually and I would like to know if it is
possible for this department to cooperate with the
Cosmopolitan Club in stagging a joint pageant this
coming summer.
Your pageant at Phalen Park was a big success,
with the exception of the fact that we were unable
to take care of the crowds properly.
We have in mind arranging a place at Highland
Park where we can accommodate 25,000 people and where
we can set a stage with the necessary trees and shrubs,
and with proper flood lights in colors.
We could put on a program together with the
Cosmopolitan Club if it is agreeable. We feel that
an early start should be made if we can agree on a
plan.
