My dear Georgie.
I hope you are
sitting looking at the new
little baby, happy and well,
when you receive this letter.
Is it little girl let not your
happiness be spoiled by wishing
it had been a little boy, but only
think of how nice it will be
to have two little girls playing
together, and the boy may
come soon enough. Is it a
boy, so much the better for
you! All smiles then.

Nothing new has happened
with us. Yesterday I said good-
bye to Helene Dietrichson, who
went to her brother, a physician
at Porsgrund, 70 miles from
here. She will staa there untill
the 28th of September and then start for America. She thought
of going the 28d af this month
but has postponed her departure
now. She had gained "flesh" and
looked much better now. than when
she one month ago went to the
mountains. She took the little
package along to Alice. In it
put a plush schoulder cape
to you hoping you like it
I bought it for myselt after Papa went away, wore
It once but Papa who did not know I had bought one sent me sent me
another one - a larger one -
I had hus tror almost
alike, and when I yesterday
mode that pachage for
Alice I thought, I might
send the one cape to you -
hoping you would not think
it strange that I sent you
what I had "worn" once my-
self. But I am so practical,
and know that you are -
practical too, end like to feil
varm about the-shoulders.
hope to that the cope will nok
be carled and wrincled too much
en the package, but et so, anty
hold et over a bøilig tia
Rette and damp et ånd it
will look fine again. - From
the enclosed letter from Papa
you learn how well he is.

Ask August to translate
for you. - That August has had
much to do this summer
is nice to know. I heard some
time ag that August Thought of
leaveng New York and go to be
at Los Angeles bet hope you never
think of making a change. So
start business fora man with
family and with no money to
speak of, must be an awful thing
I think. Unmarried men may
change abode as they have a mind
to. Of course August hos never
thought af moving avay. Han da god
like the hause om Rellig Avenue nor-
Jane alags thought et mo-
cos to have å lette hause like
your old home? When the children
grow larger. I think you will
think your present home has just
(The shoulder cape Papa sent me would be too large for you)
